To me, one unexpected food is at the top of the list of traditional ingredients: honey. On Ikaria, it's considered one of the island's secret ingredients for longevity, and many Ikarians start their day with a spoonful. When I'm in the States, I shop for Greek honey either in local Greek and Middle Eastern food stores or online. I stir it into herbal, green and black teas and use it a lot in smoothies with Greek yogurt. Sometimes I mix a spoonful of Greek honey into a little sparkling water and add some mint or citrus slices for a refreshing homemade soda.

That's certainly true of her latest album, "The Tortured Poets Department," which arrived last Friday to mixed reviews. New Taylor Swift music is bound to spark widespread debate, but the conversation swelled when she surprise-released "The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology," a deluxe edition with 15 extra songs. Indeed, most of these deluxe tracks succeed as self-contained stories, recalling the mythic peaks of "Folklore" and "Evermore." Then again, more songs equals more streams, and "The Tortured Poets Department" is on target to become one of the most-played albums of the streaming era. "We all make compromises," Pollan told Business Insider ahead of the release of his latest documentary, Food, Inc. 2, out April 12. Madix plays Roxie Hart, a woman facing trial for the murder of her lover. After the year she's had, Madix's role as the woman scorned is a delightful piece of stunt casting. Madix, the 38-year-old "Vanderpump Rules" star and "Dancing with the Stars" contestant, made her Broadway debut in January as the murderous Roxie Hart in "Chicago." In much the same way as Hart, Madix has had her own ascent to fame — which makes her performance in "Chicago" a delightful, over-the-top example of revenge success. Madix recently extended her limited run as Roxie Hart in "Chicago" and will now be performing the role through April 7.

The bakery then reportedly worked its magic to transform these feelings into various flavors of fluffy steamed bread. Next, AI extracted the lyrics of approximately 35,000 songs related to love and food from a Japanese database. “The selection of ingredients was done by AI, but our role was to make them into bread,” said Yuki Kitazawa, a developer at Kimuraya bakery. “We paid attention to the colors used to express romantic emotions visually and aimed for a vibrant and pop appearance for Love Bread.”

Tokyo, Japan CNN —When art collective teamLab opened its flagship Tokyo venue, teamLab Borderless, in 2018, the group wanted it to fundamentally change the way we perceive and think about modern art. teamLab Borderless TokyoSo, it’s perhaps no surprise that a significant amount of hype surrounds the grand return of Borderless, which reopens this week in an upmarket new high-rise in Tokyo’s Azabudai district. teamLab Borderless TokyoKudo’s rhetorical style is circuitous, which is apt in a venue that eschews a linear approach to museum design. teamLab Borderless TokyoWandering around Borderless is more like “shinrin-yoku,” the Japanese art of forest bathing, whereby you let your body react to its environment so that it subconsciously directs your movements. teamLab Borderless TokyoThere may be no centerpiece at Borderless, but when another teamLab member, Sakurako Naka, opened a curtain to the new “Light Sculpture” series, she said the collective is “super excited” about this one.

In the decades that followed, Oreos and freezer waffles (“L’eggo my Eggo!”) were portrayed as so irresistible that people fought over them. A popular stoner movie, “Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle,” chronicled two friends’ obsessions with fast-food sliders. But why does Gabe seem to be reaching toward the distressed woman — something he had been instructed never to do — as she teeters on the edge, then falls? The dead woman, Amanda, narrates some of the chapters from beyond the grave. She wants to make something clear. With her fake name and new identity, she seems to have gotten away with it.

Gary Oldman Photo: Apple TV+It would be a stretch to describe “Slow Horses” as a “feel good” show, except for its ramshackle centerpiece, Jackson Lamb . Played by a deliciously derelict Gary Oldman , Jackson will certainly make the average viewer feel good about his or her own personal hygiene. Slow Horses, season 3 Wednesday, Apple TV+He’s also hilarious, usually right and never modest about it, which may infuriate the poor unfortunates around him but does make him a highly watchable and even quotable post-Le Carré Cold War hero—a reservoir of seemingly passé spycraft that nevertheless becomes critically important from episode to episode, and season to season. (“Slow Horses” now enters its third as one of the best series on television.) The infractions can be minor, but the damage to one’s career and credibility are never less than biblical, the ensuing duties clerical.

The French do not like an Englishman’s rendition of Napoleon. Or at least, the French critics do not. Yet while British and American reviewers glowed, French critics considered it lazy, pointless, boring, migraine-inducing, too short and historically inaccurate. And that’s just to start. The critic for the left-wing daily Libération panned the film as not just ugly, but vacuous, positing nothing and “very sure of its inanity.” The review in Le Monde offered that if the director’s vision had one merit, it was “simplicity” — “a montage alternating between Napoleon’s love life and his feats of battle.”

The DVD service was particularly handy when I decided to embark on a career-spanning marathon of all Martin Scorsese’s movies. The most rented movie overall was “The Blind Side” (never saw it) and the most rented TV show “Dexter” (a video store rental for me in 2010). The “Tár” outlier speaks to one of the beautiful aspects of the Netflix DVD. (Don’t sleep on De Niro’s deliciously unhinged performance in “The King of Comedy.”) For all Netflix DVD users, though, De Niro rests at a healthy but comparatively modest fifth place. In this way, the DVD service acted more as an overstuffed old-school video store.

What if Wine and Cider Had a Baby?

Wine is made by fermenting grapes or other fruit, although apple and pear wines are distinctive enough to have earned their own categories, cider and perry. But a growing number of producers are blurring the styles, blending grape wines and ciders or fermenting grapes and other fruit together, with remarkable delicious results. Some bottles are collaborations between wine and cider specialists, but most who are making these blends are natural winemakers, who tend to be more experimental and adventurous and less bound by industry and market conventions. Andy Brennan, of the superb Aaron Burr Cidery in Wurtsboro, N.Y., makes a wonderfully refreshing blend he calls Appinette by fermenting together farmed apples and traminette, a hybrid wine grape. Scar of the Sea, an excellent wine producer in San Luis Obispo, Calif., blends a different grape with Newtown Pippin apples each year — gamay in 2021 and palomino in ’22.
